Kieran McGovern is an
author of graded reading materials for English
language learners. He has written original stories and
adaptations for most of the major publishers in the
field including Macmillan, Oxford University Press,
Longman and Penguin.
Three of his titles were singled out for 'their particular
excellence' in Bamford and Day's Extensive Reading in the Second Language
Classroom (Cambridge, 1998) where he
was described as being 'amongst the best writers of
language learner materials in English.’ He has
writes articles and reviews for international
newspapers, magazines and journals including Ming Pao
Daily, Seven Days and IATEFL Voices.
Kieran has a first degree in English from the University of
Leicester and an MA in Literary & Historical Studies
from Bath Spa University College. He currently teaches in
Bath, UK
